What does the inside of a dorm room look like? Is it hard to keep up with your schedule in college? How do you pick a college? How much homework do you have? How often do you see your parents?

These are some of the questions Selman Elementary third graders asked a group of college students that volunteered their time to visit them. After a brief introduction, college students answered the questions third graders had prepared. Teachers and students agreed that the time spent together was beneficial to all involved.

The goal of the visit was to promote the desire to go to college. Sealy ISD encourages students to continue their education following high school. Information on higher education is available in the school counselor’s office.
